Getting to Dubai

There are direct flights from all across the UK to Dubai International Airport on a daily basis. Dubai International Airport is a modern airport that is always being expanded on, and is one of the leading airports in the world. Dubai International Airport is located approximately 5 kilometres from the city centre of Dubai.

From Heathrow Airport there are several different airlines flying to Dubai many times a day. These airlines include British Airways and Virgin Atlantic who offer direct flights daily. Other airlines that offer flights to Dubai include Gulf Air and Royal Brunei.

Other UK airports with flights to Dubai include Gatwick, Manchester, Newcastle, Birmingham and Glasgow. There are a great range of flights and options available to get to Dubai.

Citizens of the UK will be granted a visit visa on arrival in the United Arab Emirates. Your passports will be stamped with a visit visa as you go through immigration. New immigration laws are in place in Dubai, so it is recommended that you check with your embassy prior to departure.

Currently, UK citizens are entitled to stay in the UAE for 60 days upon arrival, and this can be extended for a further 30 days. For the 33 countries that were previously allowed to enter for three months, the Cabinet has reduced this to a one month visit, with an entry charge of 100 Durham imposed on arrival.

Most of the European Union countries belong to these 33 countries. To enter Dubai, all visitors must have a valid passport.
